5 Light Stretching Exercises to make you sleep faster
1.
Knee to
chest
Lie down on your back. Bend your
left leg, holding the knee with both your hands; pull the bent leg towards your
chest. Remember do not bring your body close to your knees but vice versa. Hold
the position for a few seconds and then return to a relaxed pose. Repeat with
the right leg.
2.
Legs
against the wall
Lie down on your back near a wall.
Now gently lift both your legs and position them so they rest vertically
against the wall while your back relaxes on the floor. Hold the position for 15
to 20 minutes. You will feel all your stress and fatigue melting away and you
will slide into slumber in no time at all.
3.
Bear Hug
Envelop yourself with your arms so
that you hug yourself. Hold your shoulders with arms and pull them for about 30
seconds. Slowly release the shoulders and open your arms. Relax by pulling the
arms sideways. Repeat the exercise with the opposite arm now on the top.
4.
Butterfly
Pose
Sit comfortably on the floor with
legs in such a position that the soles face each other. Bring the soles
together and spine straight. Now move the bent legs up and down to flutter like
a butterfly. Repeat the movements for about 30 seconds to feel relaxed.
5.
Side
Stretch
Sit comfortably with your legs
crossed. Now lift your left arm straight, placing it above your ears, lean
towards the right side and stretch the arm in the opposite direction. Now
repeat the exercise with the other hand in the opposite direction.
